Hello

Does anyone have an idea what kind of material this might be? It was installed in a mountain cabin as flooring, but probably also used for wall panels, likely from the 1980s.

Weathered wooden floorboards with visible nails and scratches

This picture shows a hole about 4cm (1.5 inches) in the floor. The wood chips inside the hole are not part of the panel.

Close-up of a hole in a concrete surface with crumbs and dust

Unfinished concrete wall with joint and anchor bolts at the foundation area

This is a wall in the same room, possibly made of the same material.
I appreciate any advice, thanks

I can't tell you for sure, but "1980s" sets off alarm bells for me regarding asbestos.

Use a good face mask or respirator to protect against fine dust and cut out a sample for material analysis.

Hello Yvonne, thanks for the warning. The material is installed in a mountain cabin and is supposed to last there for as long as possible. They probably wouldn’t be happy if I just cut out a small piece, even with respiratory protection.

Are my pictures really that bad?
