Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a fully renovated condominium unit and I’m wondering what type of cable this is:

There are these outlets (telephone?) in five rooms:

However, there are six cables inside the wall.

Can anyone help me understand what I can do with this?

Thanks.

It could be the cable for the doorbell/intercom system.

In the lower picture, the telephone is on the left and the satellite or cable connection is on the right.

If there is "nothing" connected at both ends, you can use it however you like :-). Otherwise, the function depends on the connected device (as mentioned above, doorbell/bell or some kind of control unit, or something else?).

Thanks for the answers.

The doorbell/intercom system is the only thing fully installed and working 🙂

There’s nothing connected at either end. And if it’s a telephone cable, I can only realistically run one phone through it :-( Too bad.

It can also be considered as a control cable or something similar, but there isn’t much practical use for it, depending on where it is located.
