Me KongHello, after initial registration difficulties, I unexpectedly managed to post my question.
Can anyone advise me on the best and most cost-effective way to a. protect and b. enhance the appearance of a concrete surface around the house and a concrete carport floor?
Tiles, stamped concrete, or a single-component/two-component coating?
I live in Thailand, so frost resistance is not an issue. UV resistance definitely is.
The house is built on an elevated concrete slab that extends about one meter (3 feet) beyond the house dimensions on all sides. I want to coat this one meter plus approximately another half to one meter under the house. In addition, there is a concrete carport floor, about 130 m² (1,400 sq ft).
How can I best “seal” these surfaces?
Currently, the surfaces are coated with what I believe is a single-component paint, which peels off when exposed to water or even light wear. This cannot remain as is, so we are considering the three options mentioned: tiles, stamped concrete, or the two-component products commonly used for garage and workshop floors.
What are your thoughts? Labor costs are not an issue; the focus is mainly on material costs.

I’m not sure what rammed concrete is supposed to be It looks like some kind of concrete or screed layer. So, simply 8cm (3 inches) of concrete on top.
