Hello!
We have purchased an existing property (built in 1972) near Hamburg. The house has had a functioning telephone line for years.
Now, in front of the house, we have discovered another cable with a telephone symbol? Having a second telephone cable to/into the house doesn’t seem to make sense, right?

Do you know what type of cable this might be? It appears to run from the street to the house.

Good luck

I would guess it’s a telecom last mile connection, meaning a traditional phone line. Fiber optic looks different based on what I have seen so far.

Hello,
the cable is marked 1KX, a quick Google search will show you that this is a coaxial cable for cable TV.

Best regards,
