I recently noticed door hinges with threaded screws in a hotel. Due to the door’s own weight, they closed by themselves. Does anyone know what these are called?

Thank you,

Sebastian

Then try looking for it under the term "door hinge" with spring:

Door hinge

With spring: an adjustable, one-sided mechanical closure device designed to support a door and close it smoothly using a pre-tensioned cylindrical coil spring without damping.

Kind regards

Could this possibly be a type of lift hinge?

I took a closer look:

The device is called a door lift hinge

I found the following description on a website:

A special hinge that slightly raises the door when opening and lowers it again when closing, which is achieved by a hinge pin with a threaded spindle. Door lift hinges are installed where unevenness in the floor covering exists and it should be avoided that the door leaf rubs against the carpet or parquet flooring. With the use of such hinges, door leaves do not need to be shortened. Heavy exterior doors cannot be equipped with these hinges, but all interior doors—including those made entirely of glass—can be. Door lift hinges are available for wooden and steel frames.
