I would like to complement my Bestå combination with the current high-gloss white Selsviken doors. I also like the discontinued Tofta doors from the program (also high-gloss white with glass insert), which can still be found secondhand through classified ads, etc.
Now I want to know if they can be combined without any issues. My initial research showed that the Selsviken doors are slightly lighter in color and have more pronounced curves. But I’m not sure if this difference is noticeable when mixed. Has anyone combined these two before and could share their experience? A photo would be ideal, of course.
Thanks

I have combined Selsviken and Tofta doors, but in different colors.
They are completely identical in shape and fit. The Selsviken doors in 60x38cm (24x15 inches) have pre-drilled holes to also be used as drawer fronts, which the Tofta doors in this size do not have.
Regarding the shade of white, I think they will match. All the foil surfaces at Ikea are the same.

I don’t think they match. Ikea has gradually made slight adjustments to their furniture series. For the carcasses, they only changed the colors and item numbers slightly, while they assigned new names to the fronts. This was done during the switch to Metod for kitchens, earlier for Pax, and later for BESTA (I believe in early 2015).
Tofta was before this color change; back then, even the BESTA carcasses had a different shade. There is a difference, though how minimal it is depends on the viewer’s perception. However, the new SELSVIKEN fronts do match in color with the high-gloss kitchen fronts and PAX fronts.
