HeiniohnePlanHello!
We have been home builders since yesterday and would like to get into the topic of building a house.
If anyone knows a good book for home builders, I would appreciate any recommendations.
Have a relaxed week!

Unfortunately, I found the manuals I read to be quite general and of limited value. However:
- I think this forum itself is already a good source of information on various topics
- There is a guide in the links at the top
- Talk to other homeowners
- Read through several scopes of work and try to understand everything
Best regards

It sounds like you’ve already started building? Then much of the literature and typical homeowner responsibilities would already be outdated...
Tell us a bit more about what and how you are building... That way, you can get a more precise response.
(architect-designed house, developer, general contractor...)

Hi!
Thank you for your quick feedback.
We already have financing and the plot of land.
We will also have a general contractor, and the technical inspection authority will "supervise."
However, I want to get involved in the topic myself.
Also, I’m not sure how thorough the technical inspection authority’s supervision is.
I’ve heard that you should also monitor the work yourself and, if necessary, point out things to the technical inspection authority.
So, in the end, I need a book that explains what to pay attention to during the different services/construction phases/connections/fit-outs, etc.
What makes sense, where corners are cut, what is nonsense.
This forum is obviously great, but if there is a comprehensive guide, I would gladly read it.
Thanks to all of you!

We have financing and the plot of land secured.
We will also have a general contractor and the technical inspector "overseeing" the project. Then you don’t need a book, but knowledge in construction (masonry, electrical, plumbing, etc.). These things happen during the building process. There are no books for this; it is technical work and craftsmanship.
