Hello Forum,

Prefab house companies often market their homes as so-called "architect-designed houses."
The average prospective homeowner likely sees this as an advantage when choosing a builder, thinking their house will be planned and carefully designed together with a trained architect. However, the actual house planning is often done by a sales representative or consultant who might be familiar with a software program but has little to no knowledge of architectural principles...

What exactly is the definition of an "architect-designed house"?
Is there any legal definition?

Thank you for your input.

Best regards,

No idea, but with our provider Noah Haus, we are working with an architect and have planned the house entirely from scratch, using show homes only for inspiration and adopting some details. So in this case, the statement is true – our house will be a unique one!
