Hello everyone!

I’m interested in learning about your energy costs for your homes.

Specifically, I’d like to know:

1: Year of construction
2: Energy standard
3: Electricity costs
4: Gas costs (or alternatively your other heating source, e.g., electricity for an air-to-water heat pump, etc.)
5: Number of occupants in the house

I’m asking because I was talking yesterday with my brother-in-law about their newly built home (built in 2015, KfW 70 standard). They say that the two of them pay a monthly gas prepayment of €100 for 160m² (1722 sq ft), without much of a refund at the end of the year...

What do you pay? I also have a 2015 house and pay 1000€ per year for electricity for the heat pump. They should consider changing suppliers.

The 100€ (approximately $110) advance payment from my brother-in-law refers exclusively to GAS. I forgot to mention that above.

And what is their actual energy consumption? Has he ever switched providers? What type of heating system does he have?

What exactly do you want to know with so little information?

He has a standard gas condensing boiler with underfloor heating.

I just want to be able to roughly estimate where our additional running costs might be later on.
