I can’t say anything about that. First, we need to wait and see what stops working as usual.

I still believe that notifications via email are important. I or the original poster want to be informed when something is written in the thread.

You can’t seriously find this kind of mass email notifications important.

For me, it’s spam, especially when I select the option to follow threads without email notifications.
That didn’t work at all in December. However, I do want to be notified about followed threads here on the forum. This works with all apps and forums for me, but here my account receives no notification.

I also find emails on every topic to be inconvenient, but for those who want them, it should be possible to enable.

Useful for standard handling (once again useful) is:
  • Marking threads in the "New Posts" overview where you have already posted yourself (this was available in the old software)
  • When you are quoted or directly mentioned with @Username, a notification in the profile display at the top right with a list of the relevant threads… here is an example from another forum. Two notifications, the first one shown (the others are then in a list, with older viewed ones following)

Not at all. As I already mentioned, it started in mid-December.

Since mid-December, I have not received any regular emails.

EDIT:
However, a feedback section in the forum would also be useful. One place for error reports, possibly supplemented by additional comments from other users. The webmaster/admin can take care of it and provide feedback through such a thread. That’s how I am familiar with troubleshooting.

Are there forums where you can directly select from all the pages? Half of the screen is taken up by page numbers. This could definitely be improved.
