Hello everyone,
I am planning to install carpet flooring in my daughter's bedroom... Is that a good idea, or should I maybe reconsider?

I wouldn’t recommend that in this case. With a dust mite allergy, carpets tend to cause problems. The dust settles right back on the surface after vacuuming, so it doesn’t help much. If that’s the situation, I would suggest going for a laminate floor instead and maybe placing a small rug on it where the little one can play.
With small children, carpet flooring can indeed be somewhat impractical. On the other hand, it is much more comfortable for the little ones to play on... Children spend most of their time sitting, lying, and rolling on the floor anyway... and stains can be removed quickly!
My dog used to pee on the carpet so often when he was young... with the right cleaning products, it all comes out!
So, from my point of view, carpet flooring is recommended for a children's room! And regarding the in or out question... it definitely depends on which carpet you choose, what color, and so on.
