ᐅ What features did you include in your house, and what did you decide to leave out?

Hello,

When planning and building a house, you focus on the essentials and the budget. Some wishes get dropped along the way. But certain small luxuries or nice features are important to you, even if they are not strictly necessary, and you end up including them anyway.

For us, a heated conservatory was an unattainable dream. However, we treated ourselves to tiled, walk-in showers, even though they take up more space.

I would love to hear what you have given up and what you managed to include.

Best regards

Absolutely overrated, but everyone has their own "quirks."

Our daughter (2) enjoys bathing with us. My wife likes to relax in the tub occasionally, and I use it rarely when I have a cold. Yes, I consider having a bathtub to be practical.

????? We take baths about 4 times a week in winter...

I’m just saying, everyone has their quirks. In winter, you don’t need to bathe more than usual. Or do you? No, it’s just nice, or rather a bit indulgent.
For us, it’s mainly used for kids to splash around... once a week... even in winter.

@willWohnen: My husband has rheumatoid arthritis. So we had to deal with this issue. Heat helps him a lot.

The temperatures are not as high as in a sauna, and the energy consumption isn’t either.

According to the doctors, this type of heat penetrates deeper into the muscles.

You need to shower with warm water first, dry off lightly, and then go into the cabin.

We also have a bathtub. I enjoy bathing!

@EveundGerd Thank you for the explanation. It’s great that it helps your husband. For me, a bathroom is simply pure relaxation.
