hi,
we are currently renovating our bedroom and want to replace everything. However, we can’t agree on a color. What color would you suggest? As mentioned, we want everything new, and everything should be coordinated with the wall color. So, what do you think is a nice color?

I would avoid colored shades. 1. It is usually dark in the bedroom anyway 😉 and 2. I believe a completely neutral white is the most calming. I once had a green and a blue bedroom. After a while, I just couldn’t stand either color anymore.

I can only agree with the previous posts. Bright colors like red feel completely out of place in a bedroom, as I wouldn’t be able to relax there either 🙄. On the other hand, plain white seems too boring and a bit dull to me. What’s wrong with patterned wallpaper? At least the wall behind the bed should have some color. I also like those light cream tones that someone mentioned earlier, but I didn’t want it to be too one-sided. Since our bedroom furniture has that brown walnut finish, which is quite trendy right now, I thought the dark stripes worked quite well. Overall, I feel comfortable and can sleep well in this room 🙂

I can easily imagine sleeping in a dark red painted room. It would probably look very nice.

Hi,
I just find colorful walls really distracting. Light beige or white is fine; anything else is unacceptable. 😉
With the furniture, there’s plenty of color in the room anyway. I don’t know any space that looks great with green or purple walls or whatever.

I found your article in the magazine Freundin, as it specifically deals with colors for decorating the home. There are so many variations and options for wall and window decorations that it can sometimes be quite difficult to choose the right one. When it comes to wall colors, it is always challenging because once a wall is painted, you don’t repaint it very quickly. So it should be something you can live with for a longer time. Bright colors, for example, are not very suitable for the bedroom; more calming tones, such as Mediterranean shades or cool colors like blue, work better.

I am totally into brown. That’s how my bedroom looks, and I think it’s great.
