hi,
we are currently renovating our bedroom and want to replace everything. However, we can’t agree on a color. What color would you suggest? As mentioned, we want everything new, and everything should be coordinated with the wall color. So, what do you think is a nice color?

My bedroom is painted dark blue. I think it looks particularly nice, especially because it is a very bright room and yet appears so dark.

How about cream/light blue combined? Or a soft turquoise? Generally, all shades of blue tend to have a calming effect.

However, we are doing something different for our new house: we will design the bedroom in white with some silver-gray and 2-3 berry tones. We found a very nice non-woven wallpaper featuring these colors and plan to wallpaper one wall, paint the knee wall (dwarf wall) in a color, and paint a beautiful vine motif in blackberry color on the sloped ceiling. Bedding will be in aubergine or gray, and all the furniture will be white.

I personally love brown tones... I painted our bedroom in shades of brown and beige, and it feels calming and very modern. Maybe you could also just add some accents, like stripes or something.. 😉 I can definitely recommend that. Otherwise, there are also guides or something like that available online... it’s not that hard to imagine how it would look in your own room.

We have painted our bedroom in a very light shade of yellow. It looks really nice and feels calming to me.
I can't imagine our bedroom in brown tones. But that also always depends on the accompanying furniture.

We also painted one wall in color (purple) and left everything else white. We have oak furniture and matching parquet flooring. It turned out beautiful and, thanks to the large window front, the room is also nice and bright. Generally, I would recommend avoiding very bright colors and instead opting for something more subtle; otherwise, it can feel overwhelming. Also, tastes change over time. Maybe you should start with a light tone that you can repaint later if you no longer like it.
