Hello everyone,

I’m interested in knowing which ceiling height you have chosen or are likely to choose.

Are you satisfied with your choice? Looking back, would you choose a different ceiling height? If yes, why?

Best regards
Ddorfer

P.S. For the survey, please select the ceiling height that is closest to yours.

Out of interest, do you know how much extra it cost you compared to the standard 240 or 250?

For our building measuring 13.99 m x 9.24 m (46 ft x 30 ft), the extra cost for raising the ground floor ceiling height to 2.875 m (9 ft 5 in) clear structural height (top of foundation to underside of ceiling; later about 2.65+ m (8 ft 8 in) room height), including exterior brickwork but excluding changes to doors and windows, was 3,960.17 EUR.

Hello,
we raised the ground floor by 12.5 cm (5 inches), which cost around 2300 euros, plus 250 euros for the taller windows and patio doors.
We also raised the basement, which was a bit more expensive—I think it was about 2800 euros (I don’t remember the exact figures anymore, I’m already in the forgetting phase...).

Best regards,

Andreas

What are the exterior dimensions?

That’s just 15 cm (6 inches) more, yet it is quite a steep price; even with double-layer masonry and in Lower Saxony. Is the brick veneer interrupted or continuous?

Hello Andreas,

Thank you!

It’s quite surprising, but in your case, I would say the price for the additional floor fits very well. For the previous poster, I definitely find it too high.
