Hello everyone, I recently bought the IKEA Brimnes bed and would like to learn more about the care instructions for this piece of furniture to maintain its durability and appearance. Specifically, I am interested in tips for cleaning the surfaces, handling moisture and scratches, as well as general maintenance advice to avoid damaging it by mistake. Are there any cleaning products that should be avoided or special care products that are recommended? Perhaps someone also has experience with the assembly in relation to care, since the Brimnes is made of coated wood panels or MDF. I’ve had my Brimnes for almost a year now and I’d like to add a tip regarding your concerns, JAFUHAU: if your children or pets happen to cause some damage, don’t panic! 🙂 I use a very mild furniture cleaner that protects the finish and occasionally wipe off dust and fingerprints with a soft cloth.
You don’t need to be worried; the furniture is sturdier than you might think. Just avoid leaving too much water on it and touch up scratches with the recommended markers, and it will last forever!
