Hello dear forum community,

I recently noticed these patches on the waterproofing membrane of my shell construction.
Can someone tell me what these are about?

Thank you.

Construction site: burnt, black spots around square plates on raw concrete floor.

I would have guessed that the underground part contains the KG pipe connections of your wastewater line, which then run under the concrete slab and out. This means the patches will be removed later. However, the connections would be quite randomly distributed on the floor.

@seat88 No, that’s not the case. Obviously, the waterproofing membrane had holes in that area (caused by construction materials, ladders, or similar), and the builder repaired exactly those spots with patches. This is a common procedure and shows that the builder is conscientious. Pipes continue to protrude and remain visible.

I find your posts informative ....may I ask, what is your profession?

@Vicky Pedia: I was thinking along those lines as well. That could fit since there were many supports in the basement. Thanks to you all.
