Hello everyone, I am setting up a home office and considering which IKEA Platsa combinations might be particularly practical for this. It is important for me to find a solution that offers enough storage space for files and office supplies, while also providing a functional and ergonomic work surface. Additionally, it would be helpful if the combinations are flexible enough to fit well in small rooms and can be expanded if needed. Does anyone have experience with PLATSA? Which models or configurations would you recommend, especially with regard to creating an efficient home office? I look forward to your tips, and even better if you can briefly explain why you chose these combinations!
I use Platsa with a low unit as a desk, which I have extended along the wall with a few shelves. Minimalistic but sufficient for my home office. The drawers are very helpful for organization.
Important: Adjust the desk height and make sure the drawers do not get in the way while working.

Therefore, I recommend not spreading the work surface over multiple units, but choosing a continuous board as the tabletop. This is a very good point that I can confirm. In my experience with clients, desk tops placed across several units often caused wobbling or unevenness. A large, sturdy top combined with suitable base cabinets is the better choice here.
Thank you for all your helpful contributions! I see that the combination of storage space and a sturdy work surface is really essential, and that the flexibility of the modules can be well utilized when the right elements are combined.
I am also curious if anyone has experience with built-in lighting elements or cable management in the PLATSA system? Especially for a home office, I often find this to be a challenging topic.
