ᐅ Floor Plan Optimization for Wellness Bathroom

Hello everyone,
We are currently in the final stages of planning our house and are still not quite satisfied with the bathroom layout. We have planned a fairly spacious area but feel that the space is not being used efficiently. For example, the toilet feels too prominent, the shower is too far away, and we would prefer the washing machine to be somewhat more concealed. For your information, it is a four-gable house with a knee wall height of 1.85 m (6 ft 1 in). The windows and doors can still be modified if needed. Does anyone here have ideas on how we might optimize our bathroom layout?

No offense intended, but a spa bathroom with a washing machine and dryer inside is not very well thought out. And the layout of this room is even less so. The passage to the shower area will also feel terrible in terms of width and height. Most of the bathroom space is just circulation area...

Is the large window in the dressing room at least frosted? With that size and sill height, you could quickly become the neighborhood attraction. Same question for the bathroom windows by the bathtub, shower, and toilet.
At least you get some privacy. 😎

I have to agree with @SoL. Washing machines and dryers in a single-family home occupied by the owner are a no-go. They belong in a separate utility room. The space where the washer and dryer are now would be perfect for a lounge chair positioned diagonally in front of the sauna and the large window, which I haven’t seen yet. Or perhaps a dedicated waterfall shower? Or at least integrate one into the regular shower. Circulation space itself isn’t a problem; it means you can have a clear view and freedom of movement. It’s only bad if that space is lacking elsewhere because of poor planning. Otherwise, I’m unfortunately just one of those who can say it looks good or bad—I almost never manage to get there alone 🙄
