Hello everyone, we are considering drilling a well ourselves or having it done for garden irrigation. We would need to go about 12-15 meters (39-49 feet) deep. What costs should we expect if we do it ourselves or hire someone?

We initially wanted a deep well pump but decided against it in the end because I thought the maintenance effort would be too high if something broke.
I chose a domestic water system and installed it inside a concrete ring. It works perfectly, and I can easily access it at any time.

Hi,
it always depends on the local conditions. Here, a well including a check valve costs around 350€.
In your area, I would expect about 500€ due to the depth.WOW, those are really great prices. Where are you located exactly?
I am from the south, postal code 75015, and it is very difficult to find someone here.
We would pay around 100 to 150 per meter, but ultimately without any water guarantee. They might drill 15 meters (50 feet) deep and find no water; in that case, you have to pay and lose your money. Or they might drill another 10 meters (33 feet) further, hoping to find water. It may happen, but it doesn't have to...

I’m looking for someone who can help me drill another 5 meters (16 feet) deeper. Groundwater is supposed to be at about 8 meters (26 feet) here. I’m willing to pay, but there is no one nearby...
