Thomas00Hello.
I want to insulate my two-family house with ETICS (external thermal insulation composite system). Built in 1968, ground floor and first floor, exterior wall made of 24 cm (9.5 inches) hollow concrete blocks.
I am concerned about the mechanical anchors.
Do the anchor holes weaken the wall (house) structurally?
Thank you for your answers!
Best regards.

In this case, my contact would be the technical phone support of the anchor manufacturers.
There are bricks that crumble if you hit them with a hammer.
Have a system recommended to you and read the installation instructions carefully.
One hole, one anchor, and your house will hold.
You should avoid making 20 holes per anchor unnecessarily.
