Hello everyone,

first of all, great praise to everyone here. I have been following for some time now, and this is truly an extremely good and helpful forum.

Now to my question:
We are currently planning our single-family house and want to take the opportunity to install a water-to-water heat pump for heating. However, I am a complete beginner in this field and feel somewhat lost in the world of heat pumps and heating options.

My question concerns domestic hot water production. How can this be combined effectively?
Is it possible to use a mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery for hot water production, or is that not economical?
Solar might also be an option since the roof slope faces south.

Our appointment with the energy consultant is still pending, as the architect’s plans are not yet finalized.

Thanks for your advice

Controlled residential ventilation with heat recovery for domestic hot water preparation??? Where is the energy for that supposed to come from?

Electricity?

The whole topic of proper heating systems is more complex than anything else in construction... without specifying the heat demand, the discussion hardly makes sense... so first determine what is actually needed...

Okay, I already figured it would be quite complex, but thanks anyway.

My next visit, after the architect, will be to the energy consultant.
