Hello everyone,
Quick question:
Are we entitled to have the water storage tank installed exactly where it is shown and agreed upon in the contract (drawing)?
Background:
An 800-liter (210 gallons) buffer tank is a requirement for the drinking water station we purchased, but it does not fit under the stairs.
The house is tightly planned, and according to the builder, placing the tank anywhere else is not reasonable for us.
The only alternative under the stairs is a 400-liter (105 gallons) tank, but then without the drinking water station.
In my opinion, this means the performance of both the station and the buffer is not met.
Therefore, I believe at least the price of the station including installation should be refunded.
The builder is offering a credit of 500 euros, as his costs would be reduced by that amount.
Thank you very much for your help!

Who originally planned the installation location? Your design planner or your supplier?

Background:
An 800L (210 gallons) buffer tank is a requirement for the domestic hot water station that was purchased, but it does not fit under the stairs.
The house is tightly planned, and according to the builder, another location for the tank is not feasible.
ILWJ schrieb:Maybe you could describe in more detail the system you want to install. Also, if you don’t mind, why you want to have a domestic hot water station. I find the costs quite high for just delivering slightly preheated water from the tap; for that purpose, there are almost domestic hot water heat pumps available already.
The only alternative under the stairs is a 400L (105 gallons) tank, but then without the domestic hot water station.
ILWJ schrieb:That depends on the expectations you have for the buffer tank.
From my point of view, the performance of the station and the buffer is not achieved?
ILWJ schrieb:This cannot be answered in general terms. If an 800L (210 gallons) tank cannot be installed at the planned location due to lack of space, the supplier must present you with options. If you reject the alternative for personal reasons, you are in a dilemma because two opinions are in conflict.
Briefly asked:
Do we have the right to have the water tank installed exactly where it is shown and agreed upon in the contract (drawing)?
