Hello everyone,
I am currently in the process of replacing an old shower panel with a standard shower mixer and came across the following water connection, see attached picture.
I am not used to seeing pipes coming out of the wall at an angle, so my question is: can I proceed without causing any damage, or was it intentionally installed this way back then, meaning nothing can be screwed on?
In case you're wondering, no, I haven’t tried to unscrew anything yet because I don’t want to risk damaging anything.

Thank you very much

They probably don’t come out of the wall as an angle; the 90-degree angle was likely screwed on, and that’s what you see now. Therefore, this angle should also be removable by unscrewing.

Great, I was thinking the same. Still a bit surprised since only the angles are visible and the rest is hidden behind the silicone. I’ll start unscrewing it now.

You could also start by exposing the silicone or the other end in the Wanf a bit. Then you should be able to see it.
