Bertram10026 Oct 2017 20:58Hello forum,
Since I recently bought a new apartment, I now have to set up a bathroom. Until now, I have always just used what was there, so I’m not really sure what is important and what I actually like.
After already starting a thread about the size of the shower, the question now is how to design and protect the wall behind the washbasin. Are tiles the best option? (I don’t know any other method.) Can you simply paint it? What other options are there? I’m a bit confused at the moment...
Above the washbasin, I plan to install a small shelf, and above that a mirror, possibly a mirrored cabinet, but most likely just a simple mirror.
I hope you can share some tips on what and how I can design the wall behind the washbasin. It is a new build (in case that matters).

Bertram10026 Oct 2017 21:53Thank you, Nordlys. I didn’t know it was that easy :-). I’ll probably wallpaper with fiberglass and then paint. Or maybe use some nice, smaller tiles. I hope I can install them myself. Thanks anyway for your well-illustrated answer. It definitely helps me.
