Hello, we have received a developer contract and are supposed to go to the notary in two weeks. It concerns a new development area with semi-detached houses with plots of land.
Should such a developer contract be professionally reviewed by a lawyer?
Do you have any experience with these kinds of developer contracts?

We were in a similar situation (semi-detached house from a developer) and contacted the Association of Private Homeowners. They offer the option, for a small membership fee, to review the contract and the entire project and provide independent advice. This was very helpful, as they pointed out all the weaknesses in the contract and the planning, and gave us a realistic assessment of what we would be getting for our money, which questions we should clarify before signing, how to understand the scope of work description, and so on. Perhaps there is something similar in your area. We were able to cancel the membership afterwards. It was definitely worth the money.

Yes, definitely (but not a family law specialist).

Yes, that’s correct. It is this project.

By the way, I expect very little room for negotiation (more like small things, such as adding a small window to a storage room that could optionally be converted into an additional bathroom, or things like a "wallbox" for electric car charging).
