Hello dear forum,

Our screed is currently drying, and we have now received numerous quotes that vary significantly in price.
Therefore, our question is: what is the approximate cost per square meter for filling and sanding drywall boards in Q3 finish?
Also, do you have any experience whether filling, sanding, and painting is sufficient, or if applying fleece additionally is recommended due to potential settlement cracks?

Thank you very much for your help!

Hello,

for us, the level 3 skim coating cost about 7,000 euros extra for 160 square meters (1,722 square feet) of floor area.

We then applied a primer and painted twice. We think it looks very nice. Since we have only been living here for 3 months, I can’t say much about settlement cracks yet. However, tapes were also applied to prevent them. We’ll see. [emoji3]

For our construction (280m² (3014 sq ft)), we paid an additional 10€/m² (per 10.8 sq ft) to upgrade from Q2 to Q3, including fiber fleece and painting, so the walls and ceilings are fully finished. In total, approximately 700m² (7535 sq ft) need to be treated.
