Hello community,

I am looking for a concealed fitting that fits into a wall thickness of 6-7 cm (2.4-2.8 inches). I really like the design of the Grohe Eurocube, but it doesn’t seem to fit, does it?

Best regards,

In our build, the sales representative did not offer an in-wall body for wall thicknesses under 8 cm (3 inches) during the selection process—and the wall was not exactly thin. So the masonry was made just that thick. What is the problem with installing an additional drywall panel in front of the tiles?

What is behind the wall? I see a risk that it will be very noisy. This could be problematic if it’s a bedroom.

I recommend an additional drywall frame.

I was going to suggest the same, but then I checked the OP’s thread history – and what can I say: they really have a bathroom that is miserly with every single centimeter (centimeter (inch)) of space: https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/dusche-mitten-im-Raum-etc-spezielle-glaswand-erforderlich.30782/

Then the conclusion remains that this will not work as it is.

Nana, it’s not impossible.
The iBox requires a minimum installation depth of 8cm (3 inches).
With some drywall, preferably on both sides, it can be done.
