Our house (without a basement) is currently under construction. The shell is now almost complete, and the electricians are starting to pull in the cables.
The installation of the cables for the outdoor lighting (north side / south side) and the supply line for the garage (south side, in preparation) is now next.
According to our site manager, the cables should be routed to the outside as shown in the attached drawing. This is common practice. It was done the same way for our neighbors as well.
The cables are supposed to pass through the wall at about 500 - 600 mm (20 - 24 inches) height (above the external waterproofing). From there, they go downwards, resting on the waterproofing, through a joint in the facing bricks. The masons will then cover the cables with plaster.
No empty conduits to the outside were installed, except for the multi-utility house entry. Of course, that is not ideal, but I can’t change it anymore.
Is there a better option here?
If not, what should I pay attention to? How can I best seal the cables? Should I pull the cables myself through an airtight flush-mounted box (Primo)?
