Hello, I’m Milan and new here.
I already have a question because I haven’t found anything about my problem here.
My house is located directly next to the street. When it rains and cars drive through puddles, the water splashes onto my exterior wall.
The second issue is that my house, specifically the living room, is about 45cm (18 inches) lower than the street. The walls are around 70cm (28 inches) thick and consist of a lot of stone and rock.
On this side, some damp spots have appeared, and my question is how you would recommend waterproofing it.
Excavating from the outside is difficult because the street is right next to the house. I installed a fillet joint on the outside, which helped at first but not anymore this year. Would it make sense to remove the fillet joint and pour a few buckets of a waterproofing liquid downwards—something thin enough to flow about 0.5m (20 inches) down and seal the wall—and then restore the fillet joint afterward?
What do you think, would that work?
Thanks in advance, Milan.

nordanney9 May 2024 19:39Hi Milan,
please take some photos and upload them here. Both from the outside and the inside. At what height does the wall become damp on the inside compared to the outside?
No, that won’t work.
Well, usually that is the only really effective solution...
