I need some advice from you.
Yesterday, we demolished a very old wall in our garden. It stood where the trench shown in the pictures now is.
We plan to build a new wall here using two rows of concrete blocks. The wall will be 40 cm (16 inches) high and just under 10 meters (33 feet) long. On top of the wall, there will be privacy screen panels measuring 1.80 m by 1.80 m (6 feet by 6 feet). Some people say to fill the trench with gravel, compact it well, and then set the blocks in a reinforced concrete slab. Others say you should first put in gravel, compact it, then pour a strip footing, and build the blocks on top of that. How would you approach this? Is a concrete slab directly on the compacted gravel sufficient, or would you pour a strip footing? Best regards

No compromises should be made regarding height, especially when it comes to wind.
I would make the trench about 50-60 cm (20-24 inches) wide and 60-80 cm (24-31 inches) deep. Place reinforcement mats there and connect the rods vertically. Pour a layer of concrete about 15-20 cm (6-8 inches) thick before starting to work with the formwork blocks.
