Hello everyone!
I came across this forum via Dr. Google and hope some of you can help me out.
Over the past few years, after moving out of my parents’ home and later moving again, I’ve gotten more into IKEA. Naturally, I also explored their kitchens and ended up buying one. Everything was exactly how I wanted it, and I was happy to assemble it myself... perfect!
Now, my girlfriend and I have moved, and of course, the kitchen came with us!
Back then, we didn’t have the money, but now we want to add a wall trim to the kitchen.
After waiting a long time, the trim Numerär was available again in oak, so I immediately bought it.
Unfortunately, in my excitement, I lost attention to the details (any kitchen DIYer will know the consequences)...
Now I have a problem: what do I do with the corners?! IKEA doesn’t offer inner corner pieces for the wall trim?!
Has anyone else had the same issue, and how did you solve it?
My visit to the hardware store brought the disappointing realization that corner profiles are only available from specific manufacturers and only for their own wall trims!
Thanks in advance!

since it is made of solid wood, I would simply miter the corners and seal the cut edges with silicone.

Yes, they are usually miter cut in the standard way... you often see this in the kitchen section at IKEA as well.
And I agree with the IKEA supporter: some kind of corner profile, possibly made of plastic, is nonsense.
However, I also find those things quite unattractive or too wide. If you have a gap of 25cm (10 inches), okay...
But otherwise, I would choose something slimmer at the hardware store.
You can look for quarter round or cove molding there.
