Hello everyone,
I have almost finished my IKEA kitchen.
I had a countertop cut at IKEA as well. It is laminate, light oak finish.

The problem is that my old building’s walls are far from straight. That results in a gap of up to about 2cm (0.8 inches) between the countertop and the wall in one spot.

A silicone joint that large would look bad (at least that’s my opinion). So I wanted to use the IKEA trim strip for countertops. I really like the design, and it would fit perfectly with the kitchen.

However, the color tone does not match at all.
I got these trim strips in "oak" color.
But the shade is much darker and warmer than the countertop.

It’s really frustrating that IKEA doesn’t sell these strips in the matching color tones to their countertops…

Has anyone else had the same problem?
Where did you find similar trim strips in the right shade (light oak finish)?
