With three planned bathrooms, the question now is how to handle the drainage for the three walk-in showers. Wall drain, floor drain, or channel drain?

How have you solved this, and what do you see as the advantages and disadvantages?

Here is the basement bathroom:

Here is the ground floor bathroom:

We had tiled showers with linear drains. I didn’t like them because the drain and the tile grout lines were difficult to clean. In the new bathrooms, we are installing shower trays instead. These have a “standard” drain.

I believe you need to pay attention to the drainage capacity.

The children each have a channel drain in their bathrooms, while our bathroom features a subtle linear drain along the width of the walk-in shower. Cleaning is not a problem.
