Hello everyone,

As a newcomer to the forum, I have a question about the proper installation of shower fittings. Two bathrooms in our house were recently renovated with relatively high-quality exposed fittings. In both showers, part of the thread and a gap between the nut and the fitting are visible (see pictures). It seems likely that limescale and dirt will accumulate there. Is this considered a defect, or do I have to accept it? The contractor’s response has been delayed for a long time.

Thank you in advance!

I wouldn’t shorten that. It causes more problems than it’s worth.

Hello

I don’t see any defect there either.
When shortening the dachshund legs, make sure that the sealing surfaces are smooth and square afterwards.
