Hello everyone,

how does it work in timber frame construction when installing moisture-resistant (click) vinyl flooring in the bathroom and a full waterproofing system (liquid sealant, waterproof membranes, sealed corners, etc.) is applied? The waterproofing won’t be perfectly flat to lay vinyl on, right? Or can an impact sound insulation underlayment even out these irregularities? Or does the vinyl then need to be fully glued down?
Thanks

I’m also interested. How have you solved this?

Hello,

is the waterproofing in your case more than just a coating? Do you have screed in the bathroom?

Are you referring to me? So far we don’t have anything yet, but it would probably be a screed and waterproofing with a coating; until this thread, I had never heard of using a membrane.
