Hello everyone,
we have now decided on a vinyl (or "design") floor from "FloreverSpa." Has anyone had experience with this?
I spoke to two staff members at Obi and brought up two topics that I would also like to discuss with you.
  • One person said I could use a 1.5mm Selitbloc underlay beneath the 5mm vinyl layer, while the other said only the Acoustic Flooring Protect100 (1.8mm) would be suitable under this floor. The prices are similar, but I’m still confused by the conflicting information.
  • We want to install the flooring in the living room, hallway, and storage room. There is basically about 5mm (0.2 inches) of space under the baseboard for expansion. A transition strip will be installed at the door leading to the storage room. However, I would rather avoid a strip between the living room (33.5 m² (360 ft²)) and the hallway, as there is a large open passage there. Allegedly, this cannot be avoided. Do you have any alternative suggestions?

Thanks and best regards

If there is an expansion joint in the screed between the living room and the hallway, you must carry this through to the floor covering as well. Otherwise, it is at your own risk and responsibility.
