Hello,
we are wondering on which side of the door is the best option to install a video doorbell.
I have attached our floor plan of the entrance area.
There is the option to mount it either on the right side of the front door on the protrusion or on the left side next to the door on the wall.
Which option would you say is better?
A simple Ring, Nest, or Eufy doorbell is planned.

We just received feedback from the door manufacturer. They cannot offer a front door with an integrated ekey system.
Now we still need a space for the ekey xLine (the new ekey fingerprint reader in the standard switch program format).
At this point, the following layout is basically the only option.
Red = ekey xLine
Blue = Video doorbell
Green = Mailbox
Possibly, green and blue could be swapped.
Recommended installation height for the ekey is 1.20m-1.30m (4.0ft–4.3ft).
Recommended installation height for the video doorbell is 1.20m (4.0ft).
I would place both at about 1.20m (4.0ft).

We plan to use a simple Ring, Nest, or eufy doorbell. What about the fence? Do you have or plan to have a fence? We are installing ours on the fence—the new eufy model.
No fence is planned in front of the house.
We only have a small flower bed in front of the house.
We have to place it on one of the three walls.
The new arrangement is the only sensible option, right?
Red = ekey xLine
Blue = video doorbell
Green = mailbox
Would you do it like this, or swap blue and green?
Does the ekey have to be on red, or would blue also be an option for the ekey? (if the doorbell is not on blue)

Systems like Gira 106 or Siedle are unfortunately far too expensive for us.
So, we initially chose an affordable video doorbell—the Ring top model costs about 200€ (approximately 220 USD).
Besides, these systems have many drawbacks. For example, we don’t want a traditional indoor station; the video should simply be streamed to our smartphones and, if possible, to our existing Echo Show in the living room.
Many people we know have had good experiences with Wi-Fi doorbells, and our electrician confirmed this as well.
