Hello everyone,

I am currently considering which video door entry system to buy for our single-family house on a hillside.
I find the video feature very useful since our living and dining area is located in the basement, so you don’t have to go upstairs every time the doorbell rings.

There are many versions on the market, and unfortunately, they vary significantly in price.
Do you have any recommendations on which ones to buy?
What do you think about this one?

I will be installing the system in the next few weeks...

Hi Ippebson,

Is your system already up and running? Are you satisfied with it?

Best regards

So, we already have the flush-mount box and wiring installed for the Goliath IP outdoor station and 2 indoor stations. It would be great if someone has already fully installed and set up the system and could share some experiences or possibly even tips... Best regards

So far, I have only installed the flush-mounted box and completed the wiring. For further installation, I need to wait for the internet connection to set up the network.

Does anyone have any new information about the Goliath IP intercom system? Are you satisfied with it?

I have the surface-mounted version and am generally quite satisfied with it. Installation and connection were relatively straightforward. I have only two points that bother me a bit:

- The camera positioning isn’t ideal for us. Although the system is installed right next to the front door at head height, I can only see some people partially or not at all because they stand too centrally in front of the door, and the camera angle is too narrow. A wide-angle camera would be preferable here.

- The limited number of ringtones. I only found one that is acceptable for us. When I inquired, I was told that the manufacturer is aware of this issue but does not plan to change it in the short term. Also, it’s not possible to upload custom melodies yourself :-(

I would suggest searching online, preferably in a store that also has customer reviews. That way, you can get a better idea of the quality.
