darksunHello,
so far we have a simple intercom system with a door release, which I have expanded with an independently installed outdoor Wi-Fi camera.
On the ground floor and upper floor, small video monitors with AV input are installed; these are automatically activated by a motion detector with a potential-free contact installed in the entrance area as soon as movement is detected near the front door (so without ringing).
This has proven very useful, you become more aware of what is happening, even the cat wanting to come in ...
This is how we want it to be in the new house as well.
Does anyone know a recommended video intercom system with camera and monitor where the monitors can also be triggered from the "outside" (button, contact) to show the live image (turn the monitor "on")?
Alternatively, a monitor module with a "real" (physical) button to activate the monitor, which then would lead the contact outside and use it.
The whole system should be connected via 2- or 4-wire technology, not LAN or Wi-Fi.
