Hello, today I had to wait for an hour and only had my notebook with me... so I just doodled a bit.
This is my very first draft of the ground floor, and it probably still has quite a few mistakes.
What I’m curious about is whether there are any major errors here (for example, the staircase?).
North is at the bottom right.
One square represents half a meter (0.5 m / 20 inches).

MIA_SAN_MIA__31 May 2017 15:16Hello,
you’re right about the pantry; it is definitely too small.
@kbt09
That’s correct, the north is at the entrance.
The pantry is definitely intended, but it is currently the biggest issue in the planning... I also haven’t found a solution for the stairs yet, especially considering that both the stairs and the pantry need to be accommodated.

There are many beginner mistakes here. The pantry and stairs have already been mentioned.
The office would be difficult to furnish with a cabinet. To retrieve something from the storage room, you would first have to interrupt the person working in the office.
The living area is often used as a retreat, but family members and possibly guests can disturb anyone seeking peace here as well.
The dressing room is almost unusable.
A bedroom with two doors can also disrupt a good night's sleep, as it creates a restless atmosphere.
Is this really supposed to be 180 m² (1,937 sq ft)?
Regards, Yvonne

MIA_SAN_MIA__31 May 2017 15:30No, that was just under 165. The reason being that the upper floor, especially the children's rooms, felt much too large to me.

The pantry doesn’t work. The plaster takes away some of the 83 cm (33 inches). You can’t really take any of these dimensions seriously. That’s why I’m not a fan of programs that automatically add measurements to these early sketch-stage floor plans. Therefore, I reiterate my advice to stay in the doodling phase for now.

I still haven’t found a solution for the staircase. You mean because of the desire for that “bend”?

A bedroom with two doors can also ruin a good night’s sleep because it feels unsettling. Haha. You just have to arrange them so the bad dragons don’t fly over the bed *LOL*

MIA_SAN_MIA__31 May 2017 15:40Not necessarily because of the bend. When I find a spot for the pantry, the staircase no longer fits, and vice versa...
What annoyed me on paper and is the reason I switched was having to start over repeatedly. I would just erase the interior layout and redraw it again...

MIA_SAN_MIA__31 May 2017 15:56Regarding the two doors in the bedroom. For me, it simply comes down to the fact that I have to get up at 4:30 AM, while she only gets up at 6 AM.
