Hello, today I had to wait for an hour and only had my notebook with me... so I just doodled a bit.
This is my very first draft of the ground floor, and it probably still has quite a few mistakes.
What I’m curious about is whether there are any major errors here (for example, the staircase?).
North is at the bottom right.
One square represents half a meter (0.5 m / 20 inches).

You are basically planning a rectangular house oriented north-south?
Regards, Yvonne Sorry, yes exactly. We don’t like a square house. We would like to have a gable roof. North-south orientation is preferred because that is the best layout for the plot (as shown on the map a few posts ago).

I mean the picture on the right, if I were to orient the entire living area toward the southwest.I didn’t take that seriously at first; it looks so unfinished—just the living room/dining area/kitchen and a crossed-out staircase...

my problem with the layout has always been the pantry... Oh, I see: you just simply marked the rooms where you already know they will go. Ah, right. [Edit, while you were already replying:] Actually sensible—hence the frequent suggestion (here and in other threads) to stay in the conceptual sketch phase visually during the early design stage.

MIA_SAN_MIA__29 May 2017 20:09I wouldn’t put it that way. I stopped because I didn’t like the layout of the front door, the pantry, and the staircase.
Today, I experimented with this arrangement, but it only resulted in 15 crumpled sheets of paper.
