Hello, today I had to wait for an hour and only had my notebook with me... so I just doodled a bit.
This is my very first draft of the ground floor, and it probably still has quite a few mistakes.
What I’m curious about is whether there are any major errors here (for example, the staircase?).
North is at the bottom right.
One square represents half a meter (0.5 m / 20 inches).

I think the integration of the pantry is well done. Overall, it’s a very nice design. There is nothing to complain about.
There is one mistake on the ground floor, and I find it quite serious and in need of correction:
The tall cabinets in the kitchen will house the refrigerator and oven, possibly also dishes. For all three functions, the tall cabinets are too far from the main kitchen work area.
Therefore, I would swap the cloakroom and the pantry. This would also benefit the cloakroom, as it would be closer to the entrance.
Unfortunately, the stairway entry area in this design is still part of the dirty zone.
I would probably align the entire lower right quarter with the upper wall, so the door can be moved further to the left, allowing for built-in shoe storage on the right side of the hallway.

Pantry/wardrobe swap was also my first thought if the pantry is a must-have. And the island should be larger, if that makes sense. Some of the tall cabinets could also be integrated into the wall unit, which is quite long at around 480 cm (190 inches).
Laundry chute... should it be accessible from the small bathroom and dressing room? It would make more sense to have access somewhere from the hallway, where everyone would pass by regardless of which bathroom or room they use.

Unfortunately, I don’t understand the last paragraph....I would have kicked your wife out long ago, money or no money.
She gets her pantry! She gets a nice dirty hallway and she gets walking paths to the island. What she does NOT get is countertop space next to the oven and refrigerator. But she does get a window in the pantry, which will always be tilted open, letting in cold air and also burglars, who will find your secured entrance very convenient.
Seriously: surely you are building with a mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery, right? Then why have the window?
My last sentence refers to your hallway, which could have a nice full-width built-in wardrobe if the house were as wide on the south side as it is on the north side. Because of the bay window on the east, the entrance door is where it is now and cannot be moved 50cm (20 inches) further to the left as per the plan, to make room for a closet. Instead, the cloakroom is placed in the middle of the house, so you end up spreading outside dirt around.
I don’t understand the laundry chute at all: from the dressing room? Into the freezer room? Here I fully agree with Kerstin: it must be equally accessible to everyone and should close off in the utility room.
Personally, I would find the dining area too long. I would worry that it becomes uncomfortable.
I would extend the garage roof on the north side all the way over the door.
