Hello,

we are currently in the detailed planning stage for a new build. Now we are faced with the question of whether to install a ventilation system or not. If yes, which type? Centralized or decentralized?
Both of us work in shifts, and we think we might not be able to ventilate the house properly ourselves.

Who has experience with these systems and can help us?

Natural building materials are construction materials, not building services equipment.

There is no natural building material that can be used for ventilation or heat recovery.

Hello,

It depends on the insulation values of the new building and the level of airtightness. If you move into the passive house range, a controlled mechanical ventilation system is essential. Additionally, according to the new energy saving regulations, a controlled mechanical ventilation system is mandatory.

I would recommend using a ventilation system with exhaust air heat recovery as a central unit.

However, there are other solutions as well. If you heat your house with an air-source heat pump, the exhaust air from the building can be used as a pre-heater, which increases the annual performance factor of the heat pump.

And where is the heat recovery efficiency in % according to VDI 2071 or EN 308 shown here?

The heat supply efficiency is 80% according to the Pluggit documents.

As mentioned, this is just one example; there are certainly other systems that can provide similar performance and features.

Hello bangolo,

I would say up to 99% is significantly better...
