Hello everyone,

Next week, we will continue with the electrical work. A KNX wiring system would be ideal, but unfortunately, it’s no longer within the budget. So, for some added convenience, I have come up with the following combinations for now. “Only” the shutter switches and room temperature controllers for the time being. I’ll share my idea for the light switches later.

Could someone please take a look and see if I’ve missed anything important? I’m not concerned about the “small parts” right now.

Shutter Switches
  • Busch-Jaeger 6411U/S-101 Busch Shutter Control II Insert (Item number: 6410-0-0379)
  • Busch-Jaeger 6455 Comfort Timer Control Panel 6455-101 (Item number: 6410-0-0397)
  • Busch-Jaeger 6435-214 Central Cover Plate (Item number: 6430-0-0402)
For the cover plate, you can of course also use multiple cover plates if more components are added in series. The U/S version is chosen to allow additional options (sun sensor, glass break sensor, etc.), with hardly any price difference. I think with the Comfort Timer Control Panel, this is a good setup.

Room Temperature Controllers

I am still a bit unsure here. What exactly do I need to implement the following controller?
  • Busch-Jaeger 1098 UF-101 Electronic Room Temperature Controller Insert (Item number: 1032-0-0509). This is the version with an external remote sensor. How do I know if this is necessary?
  • Busch-Jaeger 6435-214 Central Cover Plate (Item number: 6430-0-0402)
I assume I will also need the actuators, right?
  • Busch-Jaeger 6164/10-101 Thermoelectric Actuator with Function Indicator 6164/10-101 (Item number: 6164/10-101)
Light Switches
I’m stuck here at the moment. We want to be able to control the light switches remotely as well (on/off). The light switches should also have a dimmer function. So far, I have found the following, which should point in the right direction:
  • IR Control Panel with Label, Illuminated (Item number: 6066-24-102)
Can anyone tell me what else I need to control a standard lamp or an LED lamp?

Thank you all!

Best regards,
Stefan

The rough-in installation is already done, right?

What do you want to control and how with the blinds now?

I’ll refrain from commenting on the heating control

Same here

How many roller shutters are there? And as Sébastien already asked, which comfort functions are desired?

Except for the cables coming out of the blinds/shutters, no wiring has been installed yet. A few openings have been made, but as mentioned, there are no cables installed so far.

20 roller shutters. Desired features: up/down control with a light sensor (manual/automatic), different switching times during the day and for weekdays versus weekends. Random mode (vacation). That’s basically it… A central switch per floor would be preferable, but depending on the functions of the individual switches, it is not necessarily required.

And that price for this? As I said, look at what I paid – it can be done even cheaper.

Yes, Sebastian, thank you very much. I will definitely take a look at the switches you mentioned. Is the entire blind control system from GIRA?

Yes, exactly – but then you should choose everything from GIRA. It also needs to appeal to you visually...

Sure, I’ll take a look at it now, and I might have a question afterwards.
