Hello,

Yesterday, while drilling to hang a painting, I realized that the developer built a wall entirely out of solid Lego bricks in a load-bearing construction!

Is this considered a defect that I can address?

Thank you very much!

I think you should check your scope of work to see if this was excluded. Also, you should have the blocks checked to determine whether they are from the Ytong series or the standard series. If they are from the standard series, there should be a claim for replacement ... just my layman’s opinion 😉

By the way, when it comes to Lego bricks, you need to be careful whether they are the genuine ones. If they are "no-name" products, harmful plasticizers could potentially leach out.

Which wall plugs should you actually use in that case?

To my knowledge, there are special dowels available from Lego Technic.

Are you sure it's Lego? Maybe they are Anker building blocks. If so, you have something particularly high-quality. A set like that sells for over €80.

No, those are definitely Pebe building blocks. Once connected, you will never ever get them apart again.

(for those born later: Pebe = the Lego from the former East Germany)
