ᐅ UPPLEVA TV and Sound System Issues

Hello,

I have a problem with my Uppleva TV and the associated sound system. I have the previous model (2013) in white, along with the matching sound system (the one without the Blu-ray player).

Here are my issues:

When I turn on the TV, it automatically switches to the HDMI input where the sound system is connected. If I try to switch back to a regular TV channel, the TV switches back to the sound system’s HDMI input after about 1 second. So, I can only use the TV without the sound system if I disconnect the HDMI connection.

Another problem is that the TV cannot be turned off properly. After some time, an information window appears saying "TV will turn off automatically in one minute," but nothing happens and the remote control becomes unresponsive. When I turn off the TV using the power button on the device, the picture turns off, but the screen still glows faintly (visible only in a dark room).

I have already installed software updates, but unfortunately without success.

Is this a known issue? Is there perhaps a solution?

Have you ever contacted IKEA-Experte or tried reaching out to the manufacturer to see if they can assist you?

I am in contact with IKEA but unfortunately still waiting for a response (here at IKEA-FANS it usually goes much faster).

Hello IKEA fans.

I have a problem with our Uppleva. It turns on by itself at night or in the morning. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t. It happens on different days and at different times. It’s almost as if a ghost is involved.

I couldn’t really find any help in the menu.

I haven’t called the hotline yet. I wanted to try to figure it out myself first. That’s why I’m here!
Can anyone offer advice and support?

Unfortunately, my children sometimes wake up because the TV turns on by itself.
I’ve now connected a timer switch, but that’s not really a solution in the year 2016, is it?

I’m having the same issue.
My Uppleva 55" TV turns itself on at irregular intervals (always in the early morning hours).
I suspect it’s related to the LAN cable connection and the internet being enabled.
I tested by disabling the internet connection in the settings—then the problem stopped.
When I enabled the internet again, the problem returned.

What about you?
Is the internet connection on your TV enabled or disabled?
Are you connected via LAN cable or Wi-Fi?

I suspect the issue only occurs when the TV is connected via LAN cable.

My first TV was already replaced because of this issue...
Unfortunately, the replacement device now has the same problem.
This is really frustrating for me because otherwise I am quite happy with the device.
