We have submitted a building permit application for an extension and want to convert a single-family house into a two-family house. The local building authority now requires us to install a small wastewater treatment plant for 8 population equivalents (PE). Is it generally possible to upgrade the existing SBR small wastewater treatment plant (currently for 4 PE)?
Apparently, a suitably sized tank was already buried underground eight years ago. Do you have any ideas in advance before the specialist is available?
