Thorsten98727 May 2020 13:54Hello lying community,
I have a question about underfloor heating. We moved into our newly built house (Viebrockhaus) about 6 months ago. We have had problems with the heating system from the very beginning, and I am trying to resolve this with Viebrockhaus, but I am not satisfied with their response. Initially, the display on the underfloor heating system was clear. Over time, the content inside the underfloor heating system has become significantly darker. So far, I have not found any similar images online. Viebrockhaus says that this is completely normal, of course. Can anyone provide some insight on this? In my opinion, it shouldn’t be like this, right?
Thank you in advance.

Thorsten98727 May 2020 14:17Hello Nordanney,
yes, that’s correct. During the construction phase, we had a faulty pipe connected to one of the heating circuit manifolds. Shortly before moving in, a plumber who was commissioned by Viebrockhaus was on site and, since the system was probably not properly vented (the shut-off valves were closed), connected a hose to our water supply and filled the system.
If I understand you correctly, this is not the proper procedure. Could this cause any issues with the underfloor heating? Since the water used was not fully desalinated.

Since the water is not fully demineralized.I can’t assess whether this comes from minerals, salts, algae, or something else. Nor can I say if it will cause problems eventually. I am too much of an amateur myself and don’t know what’s flowing through your pipes. BUT: This definitely needs to be fixed. Don’t let anyone tell you “it’s not a big deal.”Similar topics
