Can you imagine having underfloor heating that is already integrated into the floor covering and can be controlled via an app (so it’s warm where you sit, but not heated under the wardrobe)?

...exactly...smart home...maybe also with some kind of pressure sensor embedded in the floor covering that can detect who is sitting, standing, or walking based on shoe size and weight, and knows their heating preferences to adjust the temperature accordingly? Perhaps also illuminated in different colors so you can simultaneously play a dance game?
I think with skilled bricklayers, you could sell the "old lady living in a period building" in this highly competitive market.
